Worship

The mission of Alpharetta First United Methodist Church is to win men and women, boys and girls to Jesus Christ. Toward that goal, we strive to be the “hands and feet of Christ” through service to people in our local community, around the globe and in the church family.

Come worship God with us on Sunday mornings!

March 1-29 Message Series

Illusions: Common Temptations

Illusions: Common Temptations
Throughout each day and throughout life, we encounter illusions. An illusion is defined as something that is, or is likely to be, wrongly perceived, a deceptive appearance, or a false idea or belief. The problem with illusions is that our senses often convince us the illusion is reality and that the reality is good for us. Don’t miss this new series, when we’ll look at the common temptations that Jesus faced -- and that we all face -- but, more importantly, how to overcome those temptations.

Traditional Sunday Worship

  • 8:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary
  • 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Our traditional worship services are rich with music, creeds and prayers, as we gather to praise God and celebrate the good news of His love. The Chancel Choir and other ensembles provide a variety of music.

Contemporary Sunday Worship

  • 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary
  • 11 a.m. in Vinebranch Chapel

Our contemporary services offer creative music and multimedia in a casual setting, with a Wesleyan emphasis on strong Biblical preaching, sacraments, and service to the world. The Vinebranch Band, under the leadership of Christian recording artist Stephanie Newton, leads the congregation in dynamic worship through modern songs and hymns.
