Daily Dose, March 28 — Going Deeper

Think about it for a moment…. Who has been the greatest teacher you have ever had (beyond Jesus of course)?

A truly gifted teacher is a great gift. They have passion for their subject and for their students. When you have the joy of being taught by such a person, you are inspired to reach beyond what you previously knew and thought.

Jesus has gone down in history as the greatest teacher. Crowds would flock around Him, hang on His every word. He would often teach through sharing a story. We all learn sometimes through a good story. Jesus would push His listeners to think more broadly; move beyond preconceived ideas; consider possibilities, even when it seems impossible. People’s lives were forever changed. They learned at the feet of the Master what life can truly be like when lived with kingdom values.

We continue to sit at the feet of the Master. We continue to study His words, hear His teachings. The more we sit at His feet and learn, the more our lives are forever changed. We become more and more like our teacher.

"A disciple is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully qualified will be like the teacher.” (Luke 6:40)

Truthfully, we would be best served if we would adopt the position of a lifelong student -- at the feet of the Master. Always seeking His truth.
