Daily Dose, Journey to the Holy Spirit — May 27

See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. 1 John 3:1-3     Daily Dose: Journey to the Holy Spirit   I sometimes take a few moments to pause and reflect on all of the sacrifices that my parents made for me over the years. All of us can readily realize that to be a good parent means that you cannot count the cost, because you can’t quantify the amount of sacrifice that is required. And yet, because there is such depth of love, we know that it’s just what parents do for their children. See what love God the Father has given you and me? He calls us his CHILDREN, and this means that he extends to us all of the love, care and sacrifice that are afforded a child by their parent. Regardless of what you may have come to believe about yourself, regardless of what others may have said about you, regardless of how you may have behaved poorly, take a moment and recognize that in spite of all of that (and more), you ARE a child of God. Good parents protect their children! Rest in the knowledge that you are a beloved child of God, and trust that the loving Father seeks to protect you. Rev. Brad Greene
