Daily Dose, Journey to the Holy Spirit — April 26

Now I know that the Lord will help his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty victories by his right hand. Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses, but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. They will collapse and fall, but we shall rise and stand upright. Psalm 20:6-8     Daily Dose: Journey to the Holy Spirit   “When the going gets tough, the tough…” What do YOU do when things get tough? Do you squeeze white knuckles around areas of your life, hoping that if you just work a little harder you can control things better? To be fair, there are a lot of things in life that -- with hard work and determination -- we can fix. There are situations that we can rectify, and there is wisdom in being proactive, making sure that difficult situations don’t get worse. But in those moments, do we look back with pride at our own doing? (Putting “pride in chariots, and some in horses”?) Or, while we work, do we give thanks to God for his blessings of wisdom, and do we look with anticipation for the ways that he might bring deliverance to us? Rev. Brad Greene
