Caring for Caregivers

Caring for Caregivers

Saturday, Oct. 5
9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Behind just about every senior suffering with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is a caregiver, usually a family member, who makes sure their loved one is fed and clothed and safe. But who takes care of the caregivers? This Caring for Caregivers seminar is designed for anyone who cares for family members due to age and/or illness. You’ll be encouraged and prayed for, and you’ll hear from a variety of speakers, including:

  • Sheila Welch, who developed a ministry at Due West United Methodist Church to help families who provide care for loved ones
  • Cindy Nelson, an elder-care lawyer
  • Jeana Fortenberry, senior care advisor at Family Private Care Services

The seminar is free, and light refreshments will be served.

Childcare is available by contacting Nursery Director Helena Manning.
