Children’s Music

Alpharetta Methodist offers a scripturally-based, comprehensive choir program for children from age three through 5th grades. The Children’s Music Program is designed to encourage children to grow in faith, serve in worship and praise through song.

Singing provides the foundation for all of our children’s choirs. Part of every rehearsal is spent learning new songs, reviewing favorite songs and, in the younger choirs, playing singing games. Our goal is to help each child find his or her own unique voice. We believe the ability to “sing your praise” helps children express their faith and share in the joy of worship.

Children in choir also play rhythm instruments and participate in movement activities. They learn new musical and social skills, sing during worship services and participate in church-wide programs like the Children’s Nativity and Children’s All Music Sundays. Our older choirs prepare musicals and other special programs.

Children’s Choir Costs

Participation in the Alpharetta Methodist children’s choirs program is free.

Choir T-shirt: Each age group choir wears a specific color T-shirt, so all children participating in the choir program need a T-shirt. New shirts are available for $10.

Payment for T-shirts may be made online during the registration process.

Kids in Christ

Kids in Christ (KIC!) is offered concurrently to our Children’s Choirs and features Bible story-themed activities and games. Children may enroll in either Children’s Choirs or Kids in Christ. Learn more about KIC! here.

Children enrolled in KIC! or Children’s Choirs may also register for kids’ dinner, which will be served in the Children’s Ministry area from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Pay once for all meals during the fall semester (13 weeks, Aug. 21-Nov. 20). The cost is $52 per child. Make kids’ dinner reservations here.
