Join the Good Life Club for dinner and a show at Roswell UMC. The church’s drama ministry, “Acting UP,” will present “Arsenic & Old Lace,” a zany comedy about the Brewster family, a distinguished family now composed of insane maniacs. The hero, Mortimer Brewster, is a New York drama critic who must deal with his crazy, homicidal family, as well as the local police, while he debates whether to go through with his recent promise to marry the woman he loves. Mortimer’s family includes two spinster aunts who’ve taken to murdering lonely old men by poisoning them with a glass of homemade elderberry wine laced with poison; a brother who believes he’s Teddy Roosevelt and digs for the Panama Canal in the cellar of the Brewster home (which then serve as graves for the aunts’ victims who he imagines have died of yellow fever); and a murderous brother who’s received plastic surgery performed by an alcoholic accomplice, Dr. Einstein, to conceal his identity.

The dinner theater menu includes chicken parmesan, pasta, broccoli, a roll, chocolate cake, iced tea, coffee and water.
