At Alpharetta Methodist we observe Communion on the first Sunday of the month and during special worship services. We take Communion by intinction, a fancy term for dipping the bread in the juice. We use non-alcoholic juice.

During Communion, you’ll come to the front of the sanctuary as directed by the ushers. A server will offer you bread while saying words of affirmation such as, “The bread of life given for you.” Another server will offer you the cup, while saying, “The blood of Christ shed for you.”

Simply dip the bread into the cup and eat. After receiving Communion, you may return to your seat or kneel for silent prayer at the altar.

Gluten-Free Communion

We also have gluten free bread available for those who prefer it.
