How do I find my way?

Greeters will be stationed outside our main entry door in the Cumming Street parking lot. When you enter the building, look for the Guest Services station in the lobby. A Guest Services station is also located the narthex outside the Sanctuary. You’ll find maps and helpful volunteers at both Guest Services locations on Sunday mornings, ready to help you and your family find your way around the church.

What do I wear?

When you come to worship on Sunday morning, please dress comfortably. Some of our attendees wear “Sunday best,” but most wear more comfortable clothes. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come to worship God and get to know us.

What do I bring?

Each of our worship services is Bible-based. While Bibles are provided in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience, you may wish to bring your own Bible or Bible app.

When do I need to arrive?

Sunday morning worship services begin at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday School is offered at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. You should plan to arrive at the church about 15 minutes ahead of the worship service or class you wish to attend, to allow ample time for parking and walking to the Sanctuary, Vinebranch Chapel or Sunday School classroom.

These maps will help you find the Sanctuary, Vinebranch Chapel and the classrooms.

What do I do with my children?

Our children’s ministries are fun and exciting, and kids love going to the various activities offered at the church. Our Children’s Ministries staff genuinely cares about kids and is committed to help them learn about God and what the Bible has to say about life.

All kids’ activities take place in our secure, dedicated Children’s Ministry area. Sign in your children at the Children’s Check-In desk on the first floor, just inside our main entry.

See the Children’s Check-In desk on this map of our first floor.

What about my teenager?

We believe teenagers are people of great value and that they will have a significant impact on the future of the church and our world. Our student ministry has its own facility (the Student Center), a praise band, meetings that are fun and helpful, and leaders who are committed to helping teens know the love of God.

The Student Center is located adjacent to the church facing Main Street.

What about security for my children?

Alpharetta Methodist is serious about the security of every child and youth who participates in our programs. Our Children’s Ministry activities all take place in a secure, dedicated children’s area. Our nursery is staffed by paid staff and volunteers.

Everyone working with nursery age, children and youth is required to go through our Child/Youth Protection Training, which includes training sessions and a background check by a professional agency.

Read more about Child/Youth Protection Training.

Parents of children in the nursery provide their phone numbers in case they are needed while their child is in the nursery. No one is allowed to take a child from the nursery or children’s program unless previously signed by the parents.

How do I get involved?

Are you ready for your next step?
