Alpharetta Methodist invites you to the following worship experiences:
Special Worship Services
Wednesday, March 22
Methodist Youth Center Chapel
Spring comes and brings new life. There are blooms and warming of weather. But many of us still feel lost in the darkness and cold. During Lent, we remember that Christ came to bring new life; but His pathway went through a cross and a tomb. Resurrection does come, but it travels through the avenue of death.
During this special time of prayer, we will take time to acknowledge our pain, disappointments, and disillusionment. Participants will be invited to confess, to grieve, to rest in God’s presence, and to seek healing, restoration and new life.
Sunday, April 9
Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and the start of Holy Week. Our 11:00 traditional service will begin with a procession of palms, led by the 1st through 3rd grade children’s choirs.
Thursday, April 13
We invite you, through Scripture, song, communion and sermon, to experience how Jesus Christ came to fulfill God’s plan to redeem and restore humankind. Presented by Alpharetta Methodist’s Chancel Choir, Testify and Orchestra.
Friday, April 14
This midday worship service commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross.
Sunday, April 16
Alpharetta Methodist offers five Easter Sunday worship services.
- Bluegrass Easter Sunrise service at 7 a.m.
- Traditional worship services at 9 and 11 a.m. .
- Vinebranch Contemporary services at 9 and 11 a.m.
National Day of Prayer
Thursday, May 4
Held annually on the first Thursday of May, the National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for people of all faiths to pray for our nation.
Sunday, July 2
8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m.
On the Sunday immediately prior to the July 4 holiday, all of our worship services are rich with patriotic music and thanksgiving for the blessings God has bestowed on our nation. We also offer a salute to military veterans, and we dedicate the Oreos that will be sent to service members in war zones through Operation Oreo.
Service of Hope and Healing
Held annually in the fall. We know God offers hope and healing to those in need. We invite you to a Service of Hope and Healing held each spring and fall. This is a very special time of worship and will include powerful music, scripture, prayers and a message.
December 23 and 24
We typically offer six Christmas worship services — one on Christmas Eve-Eve, and five on Christmas Eve. Watch for times and descriptions of each service to be published as we near this sacred day.
