Getting to the church:
Where do I park?
Our main lot is behind the church, accessible from Cumming Street. There will be parking attendants to help you find your way. Special needs parking is available in front of the church, on North Main Street, and overflow parking is available next door at the Methodist Youth Center. All are well marked. Click here for a map of all available parking.
How do I find my way?
Look for a Welcome Desk when you enter. There is one in the lobby of Trinity Hall, and one just outside the Narthex of the Sanctuary. Both have volunteers who are ready to help you and your family find your way.
What do I wear?
Come comfortably. Some of our attendees wear "Sunday Best," but most wear comfortable clothes. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come to worship God and get to know us.
What do I bring?
You can bring your Bible if you have one. While each of our worship services is Bible-based, Bibles are provided in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience.
When do I need to arrive?
Worship is Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00 am, with Sunday School at 9:45. Plan to be at the church 15 minutes ahead of time to allow ample time for parking.
What do I do with my children?
What about Child Security?
Child security is taken very seriously at Alpharetta Methodist. Our nursery is staffed by paid staff and volunteers. Everyone working with nursery age, children and youth is required to go through our Child/Youth Protection Training, which includes training sessions, and a background check by a professional agency. Also, all nursery parents are given a restaurant style pager in case they are needed while their child is in the nursery. No one is allowed to take a child from the nursery or children’s program unless previously signed by the parents. Click here for more information.
How do I get involved?
Ready for your next step? Consider attending the 4-week DISCOVER class where you can learn more about United Methodism, Alpharetta Methodist, Sunday School classes, groups, ministries, and membership at AFUMC. Ministry leaders stop in to introduce themselves and their ministries. Senior Pastor Dr. Don Martin stops by frequently to meet class members and have a sausage biscuit. Classes meet most every Sunday mornings at 9:45am in the church library. No cost or registration. For more information and to see the schedule of classes, click here.
