Habitat for Humanity accepting applications for Home Repair Program

Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia is now accepting applications for its Home Repair Program, which provides needed home repairs for veterans, seniors and disabled adults in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton and Mountain Park. Funding for this program is provided by the Fulton County HOME Program. Applicants should own and live in their home, meet income guidelines and have a need for home preservation, weatherization and/or critical home repairs. Operation Oreo 2017

Our goal is to collect 5 tons of Oreo cookies for military personnel serving in combat zones overseas. We need your help! Please attach a note of encouragement or appreciation to each package you give. Drop off Oreos at the church office, or place them at the altar on Patriotic Sunday, July 2. If your family member is stationed in a combat zone and would appreciate receiving Oreos, please let us know. Send the service member’s name, unit and address to Ralph Jordan

 

Pick Up Your VBS Family Kit

Vacation Bible School kits include the following for children and volunteers: T-shirts, nametag lanyards, schedule, mission project information and a music CD. Pick up your family’s VBS kit in Mod4, behind Trinity Hall near the playground, on these dates:

Monday, June 5, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Tuesday, June 6, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Wednesday, June 7, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Thursday, June 8, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, June 11, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
 

Registration Is Open for 2017-18 Children’s Choirs

 
Registration for Children’s Choirs for the 2017-18 year is open! Choirs are for age 2 (by September 1) through 5th grade. $5 one-time fee for choir cross. Previous year shirts $2-5. New shirts $10. Rehearsals are on Wesnesdays at 5:30 p.m. through September 13 – April 25. Through music, children will learn to follow Jesus and share his love. Choir kids will participate in the Children’s Nativity (December) and Children’s Music Sunday (April). The Children’s Choir Kick-Off Party is August 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Trinity Hall. Patriotic Sunday Choir

Rehearsals: Mondays at 6:15 p.m., Wednesdays at 7 p.m., Choir Room
Note: No choir rehearsals this week.
The Chancel Choir and Testify invite you to sing with them for Patriotic Sunday, July 2. Come to one of the weekly rehearsals and stay for the patriotic portion. For details contact Music Director Barbara Holbrook.

If you’re volunteering at Vacation Bible School and haven’t attended a session yet, please mark your calendar for Sunday, June 4, at 12:15 p.m. in Trinity Hall. Training is required for all VBS volunteers.
