Prayer

The Prayer Ministry of Alpharetta First United Methodist Church exists to glorify God, to promote personal, local church, and community prayer.

We have numerous ways in which we pray for our church family and friends. Also, there are numerous opportunities for serving in our Prayer Ministry. Please read below and contact the appropriate person or submit a prayer request on-line.

This week, please pray for Jenna Sellers, as she prepares for a mission trip to China, December 15-30. She will be teaching English to Chinese children, visiting orphanages and discipling college-age women.

Church Staff Prayer
If you would like a person on the church staff to pray for or with you, you may call that person through the church office (770) 475-5576, Monday through Friday, 9:00 - 5:00 pm.

Prayer Chapel

Our beautiful Prayer Chapel is the perfect place to find serenity and to be in quiet communion with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Prayer Chapel is located in room 335, on the bridge between Trinity Hall and the main sanctuary. A sign outside the chapel welcomes you to enter and be blessed.  In the Prayer Chapel you’ll find an altar as well as comfortable places to sit or kneel, to feel comfortable as you pray. The Lord is calling us – won’t you come and be alone with Him?

Email Prayer Team
This prayer team receives prayer requests through e-mail and lifts them up to the Lord. To submit prayer requests or receive e-mails with prayer requests of our church family, please email prayer@afumc.org.

Job Transition
If you or someone you know is currently in job transition, we would like to offer our prayer support. Simply visit the Prayer Chapel, room 335 of the Trinity Building, place a resume in the Job Resume Prayer Ministry notebook and we will be in prayer.

Flamebearers
This groups meets in room 333 and the Prayer Chapel on the fourth Thursday of each month  to pray for the ministries, missions and leadership of the church. To join us, contact: Carol Gray, 404-583-3723.
