Serves as the human relations committee of AFUMC, hiring, evaluating and encouraging staff and other leaders. Chairperson: Dennis Covington

Charged with establishing a vision for the future needs of our congregation and making recommendations to the Church Council. Chairperson: Charlie Andrews

Encourages and guides congregation in practicing good Christian stewardship including gifts of time, talent and financial resources. Chairperson: Lee Piper 

Provides education and leadership to members and friends in support of the AFUMC Endowment Fund. Chairperson: Charlie Lail

Works to develop and implement processes to involve members in local, regional and international. Chairperson: Jane Rogers

Provides leadership and support in caring for the needs of our congregation and the community. Chairperson: Terri Straw

 

Works to promote personal, local church, and community prayer, and to equip believers to enrich their relationship with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Chairperson: Nanci Crawford

 

Develops communications strategies to inform members and create a welcoming presence for visitors and church seekers. Chairperson: Beth Allain, Communications manager

 

Works to promote AFUMC throughout our community while encouraging members to be faithful witnesses for Jesus Christ. Chairperson:  Jim Tinsley

Plans and develops the educational curriculum to nurture our members in faith. Chairperson: Victoria Potts

 

Greets and assists visitors on Sunday mornings and at special events. Chairperson: Laura Gurley, director of New Member Involvement

 

Serves as an ex-officio member of all committees and encourages and supports their work. Chairperson: Rick Darnell

Serves to involve and train worship support leaders including Sanctuary Stewards, acolytes, ushers, etc. Chairperson: Connnie Rappa
