Alpharetta First United Methodist Church's Job Transition Ministry is designed to help those in career transition by consolidating resources available to job seekers, providing networking opportunities and delivering tips on helping you stand out.
The May speaker is Jeff Sheehan. The session is designed to assist you in using Linkedin, Twitter, and other emerging social media in your job search. Sheehan will show you how to enhance your "brand" with these tools, search companies and people of interest within these companies, maximize your networking reach, and provide you with strategic information to improve the success of your interviews.
Sheehan holds a BBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a MSF from Bentley University, and a MSM from Georgia State University. He has also had additional training at Northwestern and the University of Virginia. With over 30 years of high-tech global sales, marketing, and advertising to Intel, Cisco, Apple, HP, and IBM, to name a few, he is now pursuing other opportunities, while "paying it forward" and pursuing his passion of assisting others in utilizing various marketing tools. such as social media, in their job search and in developing their personal brand.
Resume reviews begin at 5.45 p.m. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. The Methodist Youth Center is one property south of the church at 59 N. Main Street. Enter the parking lot from Main Street. Click here for a parking map.
