Hope Transcends

Sunday, November 12
7 p.m.
Vinebranch Chapel

Hope Transcends is a special service of worship and prayer for those experiencing sadness during the holiday season. Everyone who is troubled is encouraged to attend, whether they are grieving the loss of a loved one, job difficulties, divorce, health problems or other difficulties. The service will provide a time for reflective thought, to de-stress and to reach for hope for a better day. Come and receive comfort and care.

Childcare is available by contacting Nursery Director Helena Manning.

During my husband Richard’s battle with cancer and his awful surgery, the Scripture that I placed on our table (and is still there) is from Romans 15:13:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

 — Connie Rappa

Without HOPE I would have never come out of the darkness. I have known life without faith, but I hung on to the HOPE that I was wrong and that God did love me. I have traveled through darkness and despair. For many years, I went through the motions. I was a shell of myself and didn’t know who I was. HOPE helped me realize that God, in his own way and time, was showing me I mattered to him, which meant I matter to my family and friends. While I lost faith in me, God never lost faith in me. HOPE did — and does — transcend!

“And so, Lord, Where do I put my HOPE? My only HOPE is in you” (Psalm 39:7)
