Children's Choirs
At Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, we use music to teach kids what it’s like to follow Jesus and spread His love. Children who participate in choir develop self-confidence as they learn new musical and social skills, sing in worship and participate in the annual Children’s Nativity and Children’s All Music Sunday. We offer 17 different choirs for children age 2 years - 5th grade. You do not have to be a church member to join our children's music program. Rehearsals are September-April, Wednesdays at 5:30 pm.  If you have any questions about the Children's choirs, please contact Ann Hudson.

On-line registration for choir will begin June 21.

The only cost for Children's Choir is a t-shirt for $10 for each child, and a one-time fee of $5 for each NEW child, 3 years old or older. The $5 fee helps defray the cost of a Cross that each participant will receive. Please see below for more information on our Cross Program.

You may mail a check to:

Cross Program
The AFUMC choir program has a “Cross Program” for all participants, three years of age and older.  Your child will receive a personalized wooden cross with his/her name on it.  This cross is worn on Sunday mornings when they sing in church.  Each year your child participates in the AFUMC choirs, he/she will receive another colored ribbon (representative of the choir they are in).  The crosses are stored here at the church to ensure all children will have their crosses when they sing.

When your children graduate from the Children’s Choir Program, they will be given their cross with all the colored ribbons representing their years in choir.  These are wonderful keepsakes.  If your child decides not to participate in the program through the 5th grade, or if you move away from our church family, please remember to ask for your child’s cross.

We collect a one-time $5.00 payment for each child NEW to the program to help defray the cost.

Thank you so much for your support of this program and for allowing us to share God’s music with your child!
