The Alpharetta Methodist Cross Program is open to all children ages 3 and older who are participating in our children’s choirs. Each child receives a personalized wooden cross with his or her name on it. This cross is worn on Sunday mornings when the children sing in worship services.
For each year a child participates in the children’s choirs, he/she receives a colored ribbon (representative of the age group choir he/she is a member of).
The wooden crosses are stored at the church to ensure that all children have their crosses when they sing.
Each child who graduates from the children’s choir program is given his/her cross with all the colored ribbons attached, representing the child’s years or choir participation. The cross is a wonderful keepsake that will remind you and your child of good times spent growing in faith, serving in worship and praising through song in our children’s choirs.
If your child is unable to participate in the children’s choir program through the 5th grade, or if you move away from our church family, please remember to ask for your child’s cross.
We collect a one-time $5 payment for each child who is new to the program, to help defray the cost of the wooden cross. Scholarships are available, if needed. Payment for Choir Crosses may be made online during the registration process, or you may mail a check to:
